Hi 4th Grade

Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year!! 

My name is Mrs. Arteaga. I am very excited to be your teacher this school year. I would also love to introduce to you the awesome Mrs. Peper, she will be our Teacher Assistant. Mrs. Harrison will be in the classroom as my substitute teacher while I am on maternity leave.

Exciting Food Program News!

We are excited to announce for the 2021-22 school year we have a new Breakfast and Lunch program! It’s called the Farm to Table Meal Program provided by the St. Lucie County School System.

Dear 4th Grade Families,

I can’t believe how quickly this school year has passed! I want to thank you and your wonderful children for a great school year, it is definitely a year to remember. 

I feel so honored to have had this time with your children and to see them grow so much. I know they will do great things in 5th grade! 

The last week of school we will be wrapping up our Novel Unit on Flora and Ulysses with a Pizza Book Report ( due Wednesday, June 2nd.) Please try to have your children present these 2 days Tuesday and Wednesday to give them time with their partner to complete their Pizza Book Report. This is a team effort and the last Reading grade of the 4th nine weeks. The Pizza Book Report is done during class time. 

We will also be wrapping up Ch. 12 in Math and taking our test on Tuesday. The rest of the week we will be working on skills in math to review and prepare for 5th.

I ask that the students bring in a Beach Ball by Wednesday, June 2.

Summer Packets will also go home this week.

Friday, June 4th is the Last Day of School! The homeroom mom sent out a sign up genius for our end of the year class celebration. It will be something low key, but still special for your children.

Earth Day is Thursday 4/22/21 – Please think about ways you can help the Earth. We will be doing a writing in class. Please come prepared with ideas! 

Friday, April 23, 2021 – Students in our class can come in Blue and Gold and show School Spirit!! This is our last reward from our Classroom Pledge-O-Meter for the Fun Run.

We will be doing a Novel Study to end 4th Grade!

We kindly ask that the student bring in their copy of the novel by 5/3/21.

I have a small request, I would greatly appreciate if we could get healthy non perishable snacks for our classroom. Sometimes students forget their snack and would love to provide them with one. Individual bags of Cheez-It, Granola Bar, Animal Crackers, Gold Fish, Pretzels are all great ideas. Thank you and May God Bless you!!

I have decided to do a book Study in a few weeks. Students will be responsible for purchasing and bringing this book to school for our book study.
